[ The darkness made her forget. She's also running her hand against the wall for support and as some kind of guide. ]

Okay! I'll do my best to find you too.

[He hoped that the two of them together will at least be able to find each other. Because he wasn't sure that he could stand this darkness much longer and he kind of wanted to hold someone's hand to feel better...]

I think you might be getting closer to me!

[He wasn't sure, but her voice didn't sound that far away? Was it this way? Mikoto slowly makes his way closer to where he think Chiyo is

but he ends up tripping over a flower pot that was laying on the floor and breaks the flower pot in the process.

At least she might be able to hear him now...? Even though his face is planted into the ground.]

The crash fills her with a little dread, but... well, she definitely knows where he is now. ]

I-I'm coming! Hold on!

[ She carefully but quickly makes her way over to him and crouches next to him. She pats his head gently and then pats him just as gently on his shoulder. Or a close approximation.

She should've eaten more carrots growing up. ]

Mikoto, are you okay? You're not cut anywhere, are you?

Y-Yeah I'm fine...

[Thank goodness for Chiyo. Even though he can't see her face, when he feels her touch he's instantly relieved.

Slowly he starts to stand up, trying to avoid the broken flower pot pieces.]

No worries, Chiyo! I'm fine and I've dealt with much worse cuts than these in all my years of working with flowers. If anything, you checking up on me has already healed my wounds.

[He may or may not trying to act brave in the dark.]

[ Chiyo offers him support while he stands, giving him her hand to lift himself up if he wants it. ]

I know you deal with thorns and other things, but that doesn't mean it's not bad every time you get cut.

[ She was going to let him brave it out, but then he started using his flowery words. She's not sure if she wants to wait for his embarrassment to settle in. ]

And... aren't you afraid of the dark?

[ She's a little worried. ]

[To bad (???) that it's dark, or else Chiyo would have been treated with the most pathetic looking expression on his face ever.]

[He's quiet for a few moments. As if he were hesitating to speak. But he realized, it's not like he had anything to hide from Chiyo? They've known each other since they were little, after all.]

Y-Yeah, I am. Only because it's so scary!! I mean, w-who wouldn't be afraid of the dark?! You won't know what's lurking around the corner!

[Much braver people than you, Mikoto. Please get a hold of yourself.]

[ The only reason Chiyo isn't super scared is because Mikoto is there, and it's easier to keep it together because of him. When he freaks out, it makes her calmer somehow. ]

The dark is scary, but you know this flower shop like the back of your hand, don't you? It'll be okay. I'm sure the power will come back on soon. Recolle's not some old country town.
